In December 2024, the City Commission passed a cost recovery policy that provides staff with the philosophy and direction in pricing all parks and recreation services.  Due to existing budget constraints and the need to generate additional revenue to reduce the required tax subsidy for operation, a fee has been implemented for the use of the recreation centers.  This fee, is anticipated to capture approximately a 10% increase in cost recovery, reducing the tax subsidy to operate the recreation centers to 65%.

It allows members to access the walking tracks and court usage at Anthony Recreation Center, Eisenhower Recreation Center and Douglass Activity Center during regular open hours.

Manhattan Parks and Recreation intend to leave one court available each week at one of our centers for open play. We do reserve the right to use any of our courts at any time for activities or programs.

No, Fitness Passes will need to be purchased separately.

Yes! We have a daily drop-in fee for $3.

Memberships are not required for spectators of MPRD leagues' practices and games. 

• Parents or guardians will need a membership or to pay the drop-in fee if children come to use courts or the walking track. 
  
• Private organizations that rent the facilities for events, such as basketball or volleyball tournaments, may charge an entry fee for all spectators.  These fees are assessed by the event organizer and not MPRD. 

No, a membership is not required to participate in programs.
