New program!

#mhkprd and Hy-Vee are partnering to provide a full line-up of virtual cooking classes for kids and teens, ages 8-14. With interactive instruction from skilled instructors, young chefs get to chop, mix, and roll their way to a different delicious dish in each class - and enough to share with the fam! Kids learn valuable culinary skills and new recipes, enjoy a fun hands-on activity, and are inspired to expand their taste buds to discover that "real food" can be really good. 

The details:

  • Interactive and engaging on Zoom platform
  • Delicious and healthy recipes that utilize the cooking equipment in your kitchen
  • Recipes + ingredient and equipment list provided in advance
  • Sign up for entire 6-week series or individual classes
  • $150 for the series or $30 per class, per participant, and includes: Copy of "The Complete DIY Cookbook for Young Chefs" and all your basic ingredients for each recipe
  • Thursdays, Feb 18 – Mar 25 from 5:30 – 7:00 PM
  • Pick up your ingredients at Hy-Vee customer service prior to class

Weekly Cooking Schedule / Menu

1: Breakfast for Dinner (Pancakes, scrambled eggs, potatoes)

2: Italian Night (Veggie lasagna, Nutella rice cereal treats)

3: Mexican Food (Homemade corn tortillas, veggie tacos)

4: Baking Night (Cupcakes, icing + decorating tutorial)

5: Homemade Classic (Strawberry Pop-Tarts)

6: Winter Comfort Food (Tomato basil soup, grilled cheese sandwiches)
