Experience the fall fun at Sunset Zoo with our annual, family-friendly trick-or-treating event among the animals, enjoy tons of candy, show off your costumes, and indulge in excitement - it's hauntingly good time for all ages!

Friday, October 24, 2025 · 4:00pm to 6:00pm is dedicated to High-Risk and Special Populations, creating a welcoming and accommodating environment for guests of all ages with unique needs and families requiring extra support.



Saturday, October 25 and Sunday, October 26, 2025 · 9:30am to 5:15pm

BOO AT THE ZOO ADMISSION RATES (ticket required for all ages):

  • Adult (age 13 and over): $9
  • Child (age 3 to 12): $7
  • Infant (age 2 and under): Free (pre-purchased ticket required)
  • FOSZ Member: $2 off per ticket!

Purchase your BOO TICKETS online through your Parks & Rec account, or buy them in person at the ticket booth during regular hours, or by calling Sunset Zoo at 785-587-2737.

Ticket prices before tax. Reciprocity memberships, FOSZ admission or zoo admission guest passes and coupon are not valid during this event. Museums For All is valid; participants must pre-purchase their tickets at the zoo's ticket booth during regular business hours and present their EBT card.

Saturday and Sunday live entertainment performance groups and ambassador education programs may move to the pavilion, Expedition Asia pavilion, or inside the Nature Exploration Center due to weather.
