Lifelong Recreation (50+)

Manhattan Parks & Recreation offers a variety of activities for persons 50 years of age and older. Younger spouses are welcome to join. Adult-age children may accompany a parent on a space-available basis. If you are not on our mailing list and would like to receive a copy of the schedule, please call 785-587-2754.

Senior Trips

Adult Pickleball Club

Pickleball is a cross between tennis, table tennis, and badminton. It is played with wooden paddles and a plastic whiffle ball. The object of the game is to hit the ball so that your opponent is unable to hit it back over the net. This is a free activity.

Douglass Community Recreation Center Annex Fitness Area

The fitness area at the Douglass Community Recreation Center Annex is complete with machine weights and cardio equipment. Call 587-2773 for a tour and orientation.

Senior Programs Refund Policy

A full refund is given if registration is canceled prior to one week before the start date. A partial refund is given if canceled between one week and 48 hours prior to the start date. No refund is given if within 48 hours of the start date.
