Arts & Crafts
Be creative with one of our arts and crafts classes. We have courses for beginners as young as three years old if accompanied by an adult, as well as having lessons for adults. Classes are held at the City Park Activity Center, 1101 Fremont St., and are taught by experienced instructors. These classes fill quickly.
Youth Arts & Pottery - Winter/Spring
Sessions start in January. Lasts for 12 weeks (no classes during Spring Break).
Registration opens in January.

Team Pottery | 6 and up | Work together as a team with your older kiddos to create unique and creative pieces using basic pottery techniques. | Wednesdays 7-8:30pm |
Youth Pottery | 7 to 17 | Teaches basic hand-building techniques as well as glazing your clay art to take home. Includes 25 pounds of clay and glazes. | Wednesdays 6-7pm |
Youth Art | 7 to 17 | Learn several 2-dimensional art forms such as drawing, painting, printmaking and collage. Materials provided. | Mondays 6-7pm |

Adult Pottery classes will take place at the Manhattan Arts Center’s Creative Arts Annex located at 1512 Poyntz Avenue.

- Wednesdays from 1-3:30pm.

3-D Art Session 1 & Session 2 | Learn sculpting techniques such as paper mache, clay and assemblage while forming 3-dimensional art. Materials provided. | 8-17; Thursdays; 9:30-10:45am |
Collage Session 1 & Session 2 | We will be using mixed media, magazines, and decoupage to create interesting and unique artwork. | 8-17; Thursdays; 11am-12pm |
Jewelry Session 1 & Session 2 | Make cool jewelry with beads, macrame, and wire. Materials provided. | 8-17; Tuesdays; 1:30-2:30pm |
Painting Session 1 & Session 2 | Learn basic painting techniques using water-based media. Materials provided. | 10-17; Wednesdays; 1:30-2:30pm |
Printmaking Session 1 & Session 2 | Learn to create stamps, reliefs, lino cuts and other prints for use in artwork. Materials provided. | 8-17; Tuesdays; 2:30-3:30pm |
Tall & Small Art Session 1 & Session 2 | Start your little one’s artistic career off with this great class where they will learn the basics while getting some quality family time! A parent/guardian must attend. | 3-5; Mondays; 6-7pm |
