Rules

Our goal is to provide you with a safe and enjoyable swimming experience. Rules are in place to protect you and ensure an enjoyable visit for everyone.

General Facility Rules for all Waterparks:
  • All persons entering the facility will be charged admission. Non-swimmers: Patrons who are not swimming, and are supervising child/children, will be charged an admission fee of $2.
  • Patrons who leave the waterpark will be stamped, allowing re-entry without charge; same day only.
  • No person may use the waterpark unless it is officially open and the lifeguards are on duty.
  • Lifeguards enforce rules and respond to aquatic emergencies, but parents/guardians are ultimately responsible for the safety and supervision of their children. Talking to or distracting the lifeguards while on duty is not allowed. 
  • Each attraction is unique and may not be suitable for all guests.
  • Children 5 and younger and children wearing coast guard approved personal flotation devices must remain within arm's reach of an adult at all times.
  • Please help us assure your children's safety by maintaining the ratio of one adult in the water per every five swimmers of 8 years of age and younger.
  • People under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be admitted. Alcohol is not permitted within any city park in Manhattan.
  • In case of adverse weather, the waterparks will close at the manager or head lifeguard's discretion.
  • In case of rash, skin disease or open sores, a written statement from a physician will be required before admission is granted.
  • Coolers, jugs, food or drinks may not be brought into the facility.
  • Glass containers of any kind are not permitted in the facility.
  • Please keep all food and drink from the concession stand away from the edge of the pool. No gum or candy is allowed in the pool.
  • Proper swimsuit attire must be worn at all times. Cutoffs, thongs or other swimsuits determined inappropriate by management will not be permitted. Swimwear with zippers, buckles, rivets or any other metal ornamentation (grommets) will not be allowed on the slides.
  • Patrons are allowed to wear a plain white T-shirt or colored swim shirt on all features except the slides and diving boards.
  • All swimmers must supply own suits and towels.
  • All children not toilet trained MUST WEAR A SWIM DIAPER. Please check diapers frequently to lessen the chance of accidental discharge.
  • Smoking or use of tobacco is not permitted within the facility or within 10 feet of any City building.
  • Patrons should not loiter or play near land or water entries. This includes entrance gates, handicap access entrance to the water, all ladders, stairs and rails.
  • Spitting, spouting of water, blowing the nose are not permitted in the pool. Persons having to expectorate must use the scum-trough provided for such a purpose.
  • All personal flotation devices must be Coast Guard approved and are not allowed to be worn on any feature.
  • Foreign objects including rocks, towels, etch., are not permitted in the pool.
  • Patrons are not to visit with lifeguards while on duty.
  • The Manhattan Parks and Recreation, City of Manhattan and waterpark staff are not responsible for loss of personal belongings.
  • Remove locks at the end of each day. Any locks left on, will be cut off.
  • Hanging on or slamming locker doors is prohibited.
  • Please do not loiter or play near the locker area.
  • Management reserves the right to review, change and establish rules without notice as deemed necessary. Whenever additional rules are deemed advisable for the proper protection of health and safety of participants, management is authorized to issue and place into effect such rules printed, verbal and online.
  • If there is any question in regard to these rules and regulations or some that may be put into effect, the manager shall be contacted.
  • Anyone failing to obey the rules or instructions, either verbal or writted, may be ejected from the pool without refund of admission fee.

Personal Conduct Rules

  • No running at any time.
  • Dunking or rough play is not allowed.
  • Abusive or profane language is prohibited.
  • Towel snapping or towel fighting is not allowed.
  • For your safety, diving is allowed only in permitted areas.
  • No back dives, flips, preacher seats or can openers allowed off the side of the pool.
  • Playing on lifeguard towers is prohibited.
  • Patrons are not allowed to carry other patrons on their back in the water or on land.
