Our goal is to provide you with a safe and enjoyable swimming experience. Rules are in place to protect you and ensure an enjoyable visit for everyone.
General Facility Rules for all Water Parks (Pools):
  • Children 8 years of age and younger must be accompanied by an adult (14 years of age or older). Children 5 years and younger and children using a life preserver must remain in arms reach of an adult at all times.
  • In order to keep our pools clean for everyone, all swimmers are required to take a cleansing head to toe shower before entering the pool.
  • Non-swimmers: Patrons who are not swimming and are supervising a child/children will be charged an admission fee of $1.
  • Re-entry: Patrons who leave the pool will be stamped, allowing re-entry on the same day without paying an additional admission fee.
  • No person may use the pool unless it is officially open and lifeguards are on duty.
  • Lifeguards enforce rules and respond to aquatic emergencies, but parents/guardians are ultimately responsible for the safety and supervision of their children.
  • Each attraction is unique and may not be suitable for all guests.
  • Please help us assure your children's safety by maintaining the ratio of one adult in the water per every five swimmers of 8 years of age and younger.
  • People under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be admitted. Alcohol is not permitted within any city park in Manhattan.
  • The pools will not open unless the temperature is safe for patrons. In case of adverse weather, the pools will close at the manager or head lifeguard's discretion.
  • In case of rash, skin disease or open sores, a written statement from a physician will be required before admission is granted.
  • Coolers, jugs, food or drinks may not be brought into the facility.
  • Glass containers of any kind are not permitted in the facility.
  • Please keep all food and drink from the concession stand away from the edge of the pool. No gum or candy is allowed in the pool.
  • Proper swimsuit attire must be worn at all times. Cutoffs, thongs or other swimsuits determined inappropriate by management will not be permitted. Swimwear with zippers, buckles, rivets or any other metal ornamentation (grommets) will not be allowed on the slides.
  • Patrons are allowed to wear a plain white T-shirt or colored swim shirt on all features except the slides and diving boards.
  • All swimmers must supply own suits and towels.
  • Paper or cloth diapers are prohibited in the pool. Swim diapers must be worn at all times. Please check diapers frequently to lessen the chance of accidental discharge.
  • Smoking or use of tobacco is not permitted within the facility or within 10 feet of any City building.
  • Patrons should not loiter or play near land or water entries. This includes entrance gates, handicap access entrance to the water, all ladders, stairs and rails.
  • Please rinse street shoes in the showers before walking on the pool deck.
  • Spitting, spouting of water, blowing the nose are not permitted in the pool. Persons having to expectorate must use the scum-trough provided for such a purpose.
  • All personal flotation devices must be Coast Guard approved and are not allowed to be worn on any feature. Arm floaties are not allowed.
  • Foreign objects including rocks, towels, etch., are not permitted in the pool.
  • Patrons are not to visit with lifeguards while on duty.
  • The Manhattan Parks and Recreation, City of Manhattan and pool staff are not responsible for loss of personal belongings.
  • Management reserves the right to review, change and establish rules without notice as deemed necessary. Whenever additional rules are deemed advisable for the proper protection of health and safety of participants, management is authorized to issue and place into effect such rules printed, verbal and online.
  • If there is any question in regard to these rules and regulations or some that may be put into effect, the manager shall be contacted.
  • Anyone failing to obey the rules or instructions, either verbal or writted, may be ejected from the pool without refund of admission fee.

Personal Conduct Rules
  • No running at any time.
  • Dunking or rough play is not allowed.
  • Abusive or profane language is prohibited.
  • Towel snapping or towel fighting is not allowed.
  • For your safety, diving is allowed only in water 5 feet deep or greater.
  • No back dives, flips, preacher seats or can openers allowed off the side of the pool.
  • Playing on the ladders and entry ramps is not permitted.
  • Playing on lifeguard towers is prohibited.
  • Patrons are not allowed to carry other patrons on their back in the water or on land.
